Introduction to Screen Printing Technology
-
The emergence time of screen printing
About a thousand years ago, before the emergence of electricity and computers, there were no formal printing machines and people still used manual printing techniques - screen printing. As early as the 10th century, Chinese people were the first to use this technique to print patterns on fabrics.

Screen printing is a method of transferring images onto a surface (usually fabric or paper).
The specific operation is as follows: press the ink through the mesh screen, place the screen on the material, apply ink on it, and then use a tool called a rubber scraper to push the ink through the screen and print it on the surface. The blocked area of the screen will not allow ink to pass through, resulting in various designs. -
Printing principle
The most crucial aspect is the production of screen printing. By using photosensitive adhesive to print plates, various patterns and texts can be produced. Printing screen plates are created by blocking the woven mesh portion in the negative film of the design to be printed, so the open space is where ink appears on the substrate.
Before printing, the frame and screen must undergo pre press processing. Scoop the emulsion onto the mesh. After drying, selectively expose the emulsion in the exposed area to ultraviolet light through a film printed with the desired pattern, making the exposed area harder but the unexposed part softer. Rinse them off with a water spray, leaving a clean space in the mesh that matches the shape of the desired image for ink to pass through.
